1. Tell me how you’d check that the brakes are working before starting a journey.

A.) Brakes should not feel soft or spongy or pull too one side. And you should test the brakes as you set off.

2. Tell me where you’d find the information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressures should be checked.

A.) Manufacturer’s guide or on the inside of the drvers door, use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold, don’t forget spare tyre, remember to refit valve caps.

3. Tell me how you make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted so it provides the best protection in the event of a crash.

A.) The head restraint should be adjusted so the rigid part of the head restraint is at least as high as the eye or top of the ears, and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable. Note: So me restraints might not be adjustable.1

4. Tell me how you’d check the tyres to ensure that they have sufficient tread depth and that their general condition is safe to use on the road.

A.) No cuts and bulges, 1.6mm of tread depth across the central three-quarters of the breadth of the tyre, and around the entire outer circumference of the tyre.

5. Tell me how you’d check that the headlights and tail lights are working. You don’t need to exit the vehicle.

A.) Explain you’d operate the switch (turn on ignition if necessary), then walk round vehicle (as this is a ‘tell me’ question, you don’t need to physically check the lights).

6. Tell me how you’d know if there was a problem with your anti-lock braking system.

A.) A Warning light will illuminate on the dash board,and you should take your car to a garage to get checked it checked out.

7. Tell me how you’d check the direction indicators are working. You don’t need to exit the vehicle.

A.) Explain you’d operate the switch hazard warning lights (turn on ignition if necessary), and then walk round vehicle (as this is a ‘tell me’ question, you don’t need to physically check the lights).

8. Tell me how you’d check the brake lights are working on this car.

A.) Explain you’d operate the brake pedal, make use of reflections in windows or doors, or ask someone to help.

9. Tell me how you’d check the power-assisted steering is working before starting a journey.

A.) When you press the start button you should see the steering move slightly, Or If the steering becomes heavy, the system may not be working properly. 

10. Tell me how you’d switch on the rear fog light(s) and explain when you’d use it/them. You don’t need to exit the vehicle.

A.) Operate switch on your left stick (arm) off the steering column (turn on dipped headlights first then on the lower part of same switch is the fog lights switch it forward and backward to put the fog ligts on and the same way to turn them off turn on th 1e ignition if necessary). Check warning light is on. Explain use when viability is lower than 100 meters.

11. Tell me how you switch your headlight from dipped to main beam and explain how you’d know the main beam is on.

A.) Operate switch (with ignition or engine on if necessary) you push away the left hand stick and a blue light will be on on the dash board and it must be switch off if there's any cars in front of you.

12. Open the bonnet and tell me how you’d check that the engine has sufficient oil.

A.) Identify dipstick/oil level indicator, describe check of oil level against the minimum and maximum markers.

13. Open the bonnet and tell me how you’d check that the engine has sufficient engine coolant.

A.) Identify the gap and the dip stick, and describe how to top up to correct level by checkiing it with the dip stick. The car should be on a leval surface and the engine should be warm not hot, Then you take out the dip stick, and clean it then replace it and bring it back out again to check the levels, against the notches on the stick and the repeat. Measure both level and topup if needed 

14. Open the bonnet and tell me how you’d check that you have a safe level of hydraulic brake fluid.

A.) Identify reservoir, check level against high and low markings.

15.Open the bonnet and tell me how you would check your windshield wash.

A.) Identify the reservoir and show me the Max Min levels 

You need to open the bonnet and tell the examiner how you’d do the check if you’re asked question 
12, 13, 14 and 15. 

The catch release handle for the bonnet in just inside the passenger door near the foot well pull gently.

The list below are to be done on the move :-

1.) When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you wash and clean the rear windscreen?

A.) (You push the right stock forward towards the dash board and this will spray water onto the back window)

2.) When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you wash and clean the front windscreen?

A.) (lift the right hand stock towards the steering wheel and this will spray water onto the front window) 

3.) When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d switch on your dipped headlights?

A.) The outer side of the left stock twist twice to wards the front of the car TO SWITCH on and opposite twist back to awitch off

4.) When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d switch on the rear demister?

A.) (The left lower switch control on the dash press once and leave it)

5.) When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d operate the horn?

A.) (The centre of the steering wheel press firmly, however make sure there is no other road user near you?)

6.) When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d demist the front windscreen?

A.) (The right hand control or the switch next to it, On the centre dash board turn towards you, or the control near the passenger seat)

7.) When it’s safe to do so, can you show me how you’d open and close the your window? There four switches your switch is the top right l push down to open and up to close

A.) (On your door controls there are four button the one on the top right is yours flick it down to open flick it up to closes
